T.G.I.F started after "de Talentenjacht" 98 we started out with Theun behind the drums and Roel o.Monninkhof playing the bass. "Talentenjacht" '99 was the first gig for Thank God Its's Friday.Played:Coming Clean and Brain Stew. Rick then was playing in his band called W.A.S.O.R.(without a sense of rythem , Joep Christenhuus(bass),Michiel Russeler(guitar),Annemat Russeler(keys)and Koentje(playing lousy drum)
Next gig for T.G.I.F. "the Kroeg-awards" (played very lousy) played:coming clean,brain stew,barbara ann,if I had a hammer,grease,tutti frutti(already sung by R.'n.r.B.")
The coming schoolyear Roel dropped out of the band(his loss). Theun started to play the bass picking it up quickly and we invited Koentje in to play the drums. W.A.S.O.R. was coming to it's end (goodbye and so long). Rick still wanting to sing came to join T.G.I.F. with his idiot lyrics/vocals ( Donna, Dominated love slave and his Elvis-like immitations).
Koentje finally playing the music he enjoys to play is now playing like a fish in water.
"Talenjacht 2000" after a long period of practice T.G.I.F and Rick'n Roll Bolscher were ready to take it on. Practiced a lot in a barn in Oldenzaal (on the property of the cheesemonger, thank you for that!) Played:One of my Lies,Christie Road,Dominated Love Slave and a rough version of she.
